STATE OF THE 'E: Friday SmackDown! **Spoiler**

Posted By: Robert Woodward Jr.

IF YOU HAVE NOT YET WATCHED OR HEARD OF WHAT HAPPENS THIS FRIDAY FOR SMACKDOWN! PLEASE DO NOT READ!

What good did it cause? Who is it helping? Why would THE 'E be that cold? We don't know all of the backstage politics that went into it but, Christian is no longer the World Heavyweight Champion. What? Yeah. He got it on Sunday, lost it on Tuesday (To air on Friday, May 6th, 2011) to none other than Randy Orton. Yup, "The Viper" is sitting at the top of Smackdown and is Champion. Again.

How is this beneficial to the fans? Truthfully, it's not. We've seen Randy as Champion time and time again. Granted, he's the top guy on SD now but, why not let someone like Christian who has put so much time into THE 'E and the Wrestling world as a whole, represent the WHC even for just a little bit? I know this isn't the first time THE 'E has done this. Yokozuna, Kane, Jeff Hardy, Dolph Ziggler and a few more have been slighted by THE 'E on this. Hell, Haitch and Orton themselves have been a part of it.

Why change the Championship like a hot potato? I guess with the recent Draft and shift within THE 'E's roster, they needed a quick fix. Now, I'm hoping Christian comes back from this and has a great feud with Orton only to regain the Championship again but for some reason I don't see it happening. Now though, we all know why Orton came out looking so strong against Punk. With Punk possibly leaving, no one could understand why orton was going over Orton so much. Now we understand.

We know that Orton and Cena were groomed to be the top guys but with both of them on the same show, it couldn't be done. Edge's retirement was something unfortunately that THE 'E needed (In their minds) to solidify Orton and Cena as the 100% top dogs. Idiots. The vast majority of fans are tired of those two winning constantly. I know Cena hasn't won it in almost a year. And? Michaels on his return only won the WHC one time. One time. That was at the first Elimination Chamber. And he never won it again.

Now, you have The Miz and Christian being dejected and thrown down a peg. What is it worth? To maintain ego? Pride? Hell, we all know that Orton is better when CHASING the Championship or not being in the picture at all. When he's there it's the same old, same old. I think I'm done ranting and raving on this issue. Christian losing the Championship so quickly is a travesty. A joke. I feel bad for the guy, I feel bad for the whole Edge retirement angle now. That was essentially a joke too.

Hopefully Christian bounces back from this and feels good about himself and feels good about his career. He has nothing to be ashamed of and it's not his fault he's essentially been made fun of by THE 'E one more time. It feels like he's the Jim Ross of the active roster. VKM likes to mess with him and this was definitely the ultimate scenario. On that note, I'm done this round. See you all again soon.

STATE OF THE 'E: Weapons Of Mass Destruction

Posted By: Robert Woodward Jr.
This may or may not be as long as other posts but, we'll see as it goes along. I've long since theorized that THE 'E are secretly sending their talent into TNA to destroy it. I mean, the ex talent there are always bad mouthing THE 'E and VKM, always trashing EVERYTHING they may or may not have accomplished, it's weird. I mean... there's

Mick Foley
Kurt Angle
Mr. Kennedy (Anderson)
Matt Hardy
Jeff Hardy
Victoria
Mickie James
Christy Hemme
The Brian Kendrick

And not to mention the other former talent from other organizations like WCW and ECW who either came over, or came back over:

Hulk Hogan
Eric Bischoff
Ric Flair
RVD
Dudley Boyz (Team 3D)
Tommy Dreamer

By my last count, that 15 ex-employees. Interesting. Not to mention a lot of these guys still have a lot to owe Vince. I think it's interesting that all of this talent simply just washed away to TNA for no apparent reason. Guys like Kennedy and the Hardy's were let go and were there rather quickly. It's a strange beast but I mean given some facts like when Hogan and Bischoff came, they really tried to turn it into a version of THE 'E. Took away TNA's individuality and made a mess of literally everything.

It's a shame that they've done what they've done. TNA had a lot going for it and I thoroughly believe that THE 'E is secretly paying all of these guys to go over there and kill it. The new "Best Of WCW Monday Nitro" DVD is coming out in June. It features Bischoff, Hogan, and Flair on the cover. I understand that they may be needed because of impact but hell, it's just like the recent "WWE All-Stars" game that came out, why was Hogan needed? He was paid, he's paid every single time he appears on something WWE related. Not to mention one of the weirdest things I have ever seen... Just as weird as Tazz defending the ECW Championship while being a WWE Superstar against Mike Awesome while he was a WCW Star. On an ECW PPV.... that my friends was a mindfuck.

Either way, seeing Ric Flair at Shawm Michaels induction ceremony was one of the biggest cases of: 0_o' that I have ever seen. (Aside from what I just mentioned above.) But, I understand Ric and Shawn are great friends but, Ric is a contracted TNA wrestler and Shawn is a contracted WWE Superstar. Mind. Blown. Especially given how "supposedly" everything went down between THE 'E and Ric.

This is another reason why I say THE 'E are putting their people there as plants: Vince saying he'd consider buying TNA "If it were up for sale." I mean, there's been talk of re-branding, lawsuits, etc, etc. It's weird that all of the sudden, a man who never really acknowledged the "competition" (C'Mon, they said Christian "just disappeared" for a couple years when he came back.) decides that if it were put up for sale, he'd "consider" the purchase? Hmmm. I know it's a conspiracy theory and all but, when you think about it, it makes perfect sense. Now, how about that talent coming to THE 'E when it's all said and done?

STATE OF THE 'E: A Requiem For The Championships

Posted By: Robert Woodward Jr.

The WWE Champion. Sound fantastic, right? Whe you were younger... as a wrestling fan, that's what you dreamed of. As long as you had the as it was known then "WWF" or all depending on your age, "WWWF" on your television... you were set. You saw these larger than life men, burley and out of this world. Muscle bound, screaming, bleeding, slamming, testosterone driven crazies. You thought it was the best thing ever.

And what's this? The man that's yelling at us has a big gold belt on his waist. What is that? That, is a Championship.

In the hayday of wrestling we had the NWA (They're still around but nowhere near as prominent.) and they pretty much controlled the "sport". It was ran like a Union, pay your dues, stay long enough, you'll make the big dollars. You may be the flag bearer if you're good enough. That flag? The Championship.

Many men fought over it, some were even killed. All for a chance. A chance to be THE MAN! (Whoo!) As time went on, something happened though. With the glitz and glamour of television, full color television, the world was changing. They needed more than just a rough and tumble man yelling awesome things, no, they needed entertainment! What's so different you may ask. Well, entertainment involves entrance themes, pyro, lavish attire, and attitude, anything... different. And around this time that Championship suddenly left the waist.

Some draped it over their shoulder, some just held it, some actually wore it right. But it was around the time of the late 80's it started to become something different. It wasn't a thing of utter prominence as the NWA had once made it, it was the WWF and WCW Championship now. They weren't what they once were. Their luster slowly fading into the backdrop of the times. They were still the pinnacle, don't get me wrong but, they started... lacking.

Now we go into the "Monday Night Wars" era. We see a slew of Championships, Tag-Team, Women, Intercontinental, European, TV, US, Cruiserweight, Lightweight, Hardcore, ECW, Etc, Etc... (Mind you, I'm putting all companies together here, I know how long some of these titles were active for.) And what of those Championships? Why, they're being thrown in dumpsters, lit on fire, thrown into rivers, broken, bashed, smashed, anything. Because now all f a sudden... they're props.

Yes... "props". A phrase famously uttered by Vince "My life is a sham, please kill me now." Russo. I've spoken on this before. Here's what I had to say:

(On how many times the Championships in WWE changed hands in a whole for 2009.)

evenFinally, I get my chance for the entire Internet to see my opinion and guess what I chose to do? Yup, that’s right. Complain. Yes, I am a Wrestling fan, why do you ask?

Either way, for my first article I thought about writing a blog on former pro wrestling announcer Mark Madden and why he’s a fat, wishes he was still in Wrestling, sad, pathetic, walrus of a beast and has no right calling anyone else fat or anything else of the sort.

But I thought to myself, “He really makes a tool out of himself anyway, why add to it right now? Just wait for him to do/say something REALLY ridiculous and go after him then.” Right. So, what was my 2nd option after not complaining about Madden? Well, the WWE PPV’s. Yes. The reason is for the WWE to have their monthly feuds. In 2009 we saw more title changes than Mark Madden changes his underwear. Don’t believe me?

WWE Championship – IIIIIIIII
World Heavyweight Championship – IIIIIIII
ECW Championship – IIII
Unified Tag-Team Championships – IIII
Intercontinental Championship – IIIIIII
United States Championship – III
Women’s Championship – II
Diva’s Championship – III

Okay, to me, that seems like a lot. In total, 40 WWE title changes! 40! I know a few years ago during the “Attitude Era” they changed the Championships a lot as well but, that’s because Vince Russo thinks championships are props. Tool. I just think they’re doing it for shock sake now. They think that every time a championship changes, ratings will go up. Now, in some cases like Sheamus and his surprise win, yes, ratings did go up. [For the 1st half hour of RAW that week.]

And if anyone has taken notice [As I'm writing this.] The all Titles combined have changed almost 10 times already… and it’s February. What?

I know the Championships are scripted to change hands and that WWE and all of Professional Wrestling fixes the outcome of their matches, that’s been obviously for forever. But, when the NWA was around the World Heavyweight Championship MEANT something. Hell, even the WWWF/WWF Championship “meant” something. Not everyone in Wrestling has that dream anymore unfortunately.

Some are deliberately trying to use Wrestling as a stepping stone to do many other things for their “career”. What happened to when people wanted to be in Wrestling to actually WRESTLE?? I’m getting off track but, it’s all in the same vein really.

I know it went over horribly the last time they tried it but, they need to give someone the Championship for an entire year. John Cena’s run at that time was VERY memorable. I may hate Cena’s “wrestling” ability but, Hogan’s is way worse and yet, in the 80′s we cheered him on.

That’s what the kids are doing with Cena now. But, I can remember how much anger was in his year long Championship run. They need to stop thinking like Vince Russo and remember, the person carrying your Championship carries the company.

They need to keep the Title on someone. 2009 was a horrible year when it came to Title changes. The WWE changed hands at 9 of the 14 PPV’s. C’mon…. To me, that’s just not right. Has the attention span of the American teenager really gotten that evasive? Maybe you need to re-think your audience Vinnie Mac.
Again, that was 2009. I haven't looked to see what the numbers were for 2010 and so far in 2011. But with all of that, ask yourself "What does it mean to be a Champion?" I mean, they take away its dignity, strip it and flaunt it out there like a hooker. Who is the man representing your company today? The flag bearer? THE MIZ! The messed up thing? Hell, even in "The Attitude Era" The Miz wouldn't have been good enough to be in the same room with people like the Undertaker, Rock, Austin or Haitch, hell, he'd be lucky to be an opening match with some generic sounding house music.

This guy is a product of the times. He's a hop internet geek who loves making fun of the same stuff we do. Damn, how relatable! But what's this... not only is the Championship still an arm piece, it's defaced. The WWE logo is turned upside down and made into two M's. Granted, it's been done before and it'll be done again, that's partially why I'm complaining but, not fully.

My full complaint is the fact that I may get flamed for this, And I do like him, but The Miz is NOT Championship material. Yeah, he's worked but, so has CM Punk, Daniel Bryan, and countless others who actually have a STRONG background in it. Not, television. The Miz is only Champion because of the media it gets WWE. Face it. He's not some type of messiah, he's the damnation. And that is also why your favorite Superstar will NEVER be WWE Champion. Zack Ryder, Christian (I hope I'm wrong.), Chris Masters, Sin Cara, Dolph Ziggler (For no real amount of time.), John "spotmonkey" Morrison or any other guys you can think of in that area.

WWE aren't Stupid. John Cena will be Champion again sooner rather than later and The Miz will win a Tag-Team Championship or two with Riley somewhere down the line soon. (Hence the Draft.) I just want to know when the newer guys will be trusted to be who they are. Without the new generation finding its way, they're bound to fail and some already have. Stop treating the Championships without dignity, find your people. Do it soon WWE.

STATE OF THE 'E: Indy/International Talent + WWE = Interwebz EXPLOSION!!

Posted By: Robert Woodward Jr.

It's an interesting time to be a fan of THE 'E. We're currently in the midst of them trying to find their way through the slew of new talents trying to make their way through FCW, and then going to NXT and now Tough Enough. Not to mention, there's already a lot of people on the MAIN roster trying to Jockey for position. "What does it all mean, Basil?" THE 'E has been very intricate with the acquisition of many Indy/International/Internet darlings. Let's look at some of their signed talent...

Bryan "Daniel Bryan" Danielson: American professional wrestler. He is currently signed to WWE where he wrestles on its SmackDown brand as Daniel Bryan. He is also known by his ring name, and later nickname, the American Dragon.

In professional wrestling, Danielson is a four-time world champion, having won the ROH World Championship in Ring of Honor (ROH) once, the PWG World Championship twice in Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, and the wXw World Heavyweight Championship once in westside Xtreme wrestling. In addition, he has won the FIP Heavyweight Championship once in Full Impact Pro, the GHC Junior Heavyweight Championship once in Pro Wrestling Noah and is officially recognized as the final ROH Pure Champion, as he unified the Pure title with the ROH World title in 2006. He also won the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship in New Japan Pro Wrestling with Curry Man.

Until 2009, Danielson primarily competed on the independent circuit. ROH was generally regarded as his home promotion, but he also worked in FIP, PWG, and the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA). He has also worked internationally, most notably in Pro Wrestling Noah through ROH's involvement in the Global Professional Wrestling Alliance, a global organization of cooperative promotions that allow their competitors to travel abroad to other companies. He also competed in a handful of matches in WWE before signing an actual contract with the company in 2009.

In June 2010, shortly after the end of the first season of the WWE NXT show in which Danielson participated, WWE announced that he had been released from his contract. He returned to WWE in August at SummerSlam, and won the WWE United States Championship the following month.

Alberto "Dos Caras Jr./Alberto Del Rio" Rodríguez: Mexican professional wrestler, currently signed to WWE, performing on its Raw brand under the ring name Alberto Del Rio. He is the 2011 Royal Rumble winner, outlasting 39 other participants to win the largest Royal Rumble match ever.

Before working for WWE, Rodriguez used the name Dos Caras, Jr. as both a mixed martial artist and luchador in mostly Mexico and Japan. He worked in both of Mexico's main wrestling promotions and achieved success in Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL), where he is a former World Heavyweight Champion.

Son of noted luchador Dos Caras, nephew of Mil Máscaras and Sicodelico, and cousin to Sicodelico, Jr. and Hijo de Sicodelico, Rodríguez is part of one of the most well known Mexican wrestling families. The name Dos Caras translates to Two Faces, referring to the symbol of a double headed eagle on his mask.

Colby "Seth Rollins/Tyler Black" Lopez: Is signed to a contract with WWE, where he competes in their developmental territory Florida Championship Wrestling as Seth Rollins. He is one-half of the reigning Florida Tag Team Champions with Richie Steamboat and the current FCW 15 Champion. He is best known for his time in Ring of Honor (ROH), where he is a former ROH World Champion.

He has competed in Scott County Wrestling, AAW: Professional Wrestling Redefined, Independent Wrestling Association Mid-South, the National Wrestling Alliance, Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, and Wrestling Society X. In several promotions, Black was the tag team partner of Jimmy Jacobs, with the team known as Doin' It For Her.

He was once a member of The Age of the Fall along with Jacobs, and several other wrestlers. Black is also a three-time world champion having won the MCPW World Heavyweight Championship once, the FIP World Heavyweight Championship on one occasion, and the ROH World Championship once

Kia "Awesome Kong/KHARMA" Stevens: She is a three-time World Champion having held the WWWA World Championship in All Japan Women's Pro-Wrestling as well as the women's versions of World Championships in the NWA and AWA Superstars of Wrestling. She also held the TNA Women's Knockout Championship twice which was originally named a world title.

Her success is not limited to singles wrestling, as she frequently teamed with Aja Kong to form the tag team Double Kong who held tag team championships in four different promotions, along with winning the TNA Knockout Tag Team Championship with Hamada. She was also ranked first in the inaugural list of Pro Wrestling Illustrated's Top 50 Females.

Ignacio "Mistico/Sin Cara" Almanza: He is best known for his time in the lucha libre promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) under the ringname Místico, where since 2006 he was the main técnico (fan favorite) in CMLL and the biggest box office draw in all of Mexico. Místico is Spanish for "Mystic", a religious ring character who is the storyline protege of the wrestling priest Fray Tormenta.

Ignacio Almanza is the son of Manuel Almanza, who wrestled under the ring name "Dr. Karontes", and the brother of wrestlers Astro Boy, Astro Boy II and Argenis and the nephew of CMLL booker Tony Salazar.

Matthew "Sydal/Evan Bourne" Korklan: Before signing with WWE, Korklan wrestled on the independent circuit for promotions such as IWA-Mid South, Ring of Honor and the Japanese promotion Dragon Gate under the ring name Matt Sydal. Korklan also had a tenure in the short-lived Wrestling Society X promotion and was featured on Total Nonstop Action Wrestling's early pay-per-view (PPV) events. Korklan is known for his high flying, lucha libre-inspired style of wrestling.

Austin "Consequences Creed/Xavier Wood" Watson: merican professional wrestler, better known by his ring name Consequences Creed. He is signed to WWE, and works in its developmental territory Florida Championship Wrestling as Xavier Woods. He was formerly one-half of the FCW Florida Tag Team Champions with Wes Brisco.

He previously worked for Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, where he was a former World Tag Team Champion with Jay Lethal as Lethal Consequences. He has also worked for NWA Anarchy and other independent promotions under the ring name Austin Creed. His wrestling persona is based on Apollo Creed from the Rocky movie series.

And just recently signed...

Jonathan "Jon Moxley" Good: American professional wrestler known by his ring name Jon Moxley. He is signed to WWE, and will soon be wrestling in their developmental territory, Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW). Moxley is best known for his work in Heartland Wrestling Association, CHIKARA, International Wrestling Association, Combat Zone Wrestling, EVOLVE and Dragon Gate USA.

Moxley is also a five time World Champion as he has held the CZW World Heavyweight Championship twice, the IPW World Heavyweight Championship twice, and is currently holding the FIP World Heavyweight Championship which is his first reign. In April 2011, Moxley signed with the WWE

And the man who started the trend? What of him? Although he may be leaving THE 'E soon, he has started something that no one could have predicted...

Phillip "CM Punk" Brooks: American professional wrestler and wrestling color commentator currently signed to WWE on its Raw brand, where he is the leader of The New Nexus.

In professional wrestling, Punk is a five-time world champion having won the ROH World Championship once, the ECW Championship once and the World Heavyweight Championship three times. In addition to these championships Punk has also won the World Tag Team Championship (with Kofi Kingston), and the WWE Intercontinental Championship making him the nineteenth WWE Triple Crown Champion. He was also the winner of the 2008 and 2009 Money in the Bank ladder matches, the only Superstar to win the match twice in a row.

Punk initially came to prominence through his career on the professional wrestling independent circuit, primarily as a member of the Ring of Honor (ROH) roster, where he won the ROH Tag Team Championship, ROH World Championship, and was the first head trainer of the ROH wrestling school. In 2005, Punk signed a contract with WWE and was sent to its developmental promotion, Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW), where he won every championship available in the promotion. Throughout his career, Punk has consistently used the gimmick of being straight edge, a lifestyle he follows in real life.

With all of that amazing talent from around the Indy/International scene, it would seem that THE 'E has a great future.... if THE 'E trusts them. Now a days it seems to hard for them to distinguish who may or may not be in it for the long haul.

It seemed so easy in the past... maybe that's because they had a different way of approaching things. Maybe because VKM is becoming more and more insane, or maybe he's not. With all of this new talent and not one new star being made TRULY, one has to wonder how long it's going to be before the new John Cena, Hulk Hogan or Stone Cold emerges. Like I said in a previous article, this Spring/Summer is definitely a leary one but on the upside, in a couple years, we may have our new guy. John Cena is still young enough to carry that banner for a while... but he can't do it forever.

Keep looking to the local talent, the Indy talent, the International talent. Don't let other companies close up shop. Support Dragon Gate, CMLL, ROH, JAPW, anything. These places are where your talent is coming from. The territories may be dead in every sense of the old school way. But this is a new generation. Things will find a way.

STATE OF THE 'E: It's A Shameful Thing, Lobster Head!

Posted By: Robert Woodward Jr.

To say I feel sorry for Sheamus is actually an understatement. Lets break down some specifics here:

1.) Started off to a dominant run on ECW.

2.) Soon went to RAW, DOMINATED a few mid-carders and then was thrust into the limelight.

3.) After only being around for a few months, he became the WWE Champion.

4.) A couple months of lag and then BAM! WWE Champion AGAIN!

Now, here's where things become a bit dicey. He goes on a losing streak, slowly builds himeslf back up and becomes KOTR. Now, normally, that would be a great thing. He's been a 2 time WWE Champion, now KOTR? Things are looking grand for this "fella".

But new breaks backstage that a certain writer who will go un-named, has a seething hatred for the ketchup haired, mayonaise skinned man. Now we find out why Sheamus has gone on his losing streak, now we know why he's not been so dominant, now we know why... even though he won KOTR, he was made to look idiotic.

Those horns, the cape, the throne. It was all a ploy to make him look like a fairy/elf thing. All because this writer has a certain hard on to make Sheamus a laughing stock. Now, after winning the United States Championship and being put into a feud with Daniel Bryan, in which he didn't even get to HAVE a WrestleMania match this year (Considering he was one of the main eventers last year, that seems a little funny to me.) and was pretty much buried now for the last few weeks.

And just recently, he was moved to Smackdown!. Now, some people may see that as a good thing but, clearly, it is not one. For a man to have such a dominant career, being one of the most hated heels, flat out disliked by many... this was supposed to be one of those shining careers. Now, don't get me wrong, maybe in the long run, it'll turn out to be a good thing. He's away from that particular writer now, and he's away from the heat. But, lets take a look at that. Why the heat?

Triple H.

Simple. When getting into the business it was known that Sheamus and Haitch were good friends. It was known that Haitch was the reason Sheamus did so well. It's known that it was because of Haitch, that Sheamus became a 2 time WWE Champion. But, why not let him do it on his own? Why not let creative do it the right way? Was it because of Haitch's maneuvers that made this specific writer hate Sheamus so much? It brings a good question up that we'll possibly never know the answer to.

The one thing I do know though is, unless they give him a great vehicle soon, unless they push him and make him dominant again, he will become irrelevent. And truthfully, that's a sad thing. Regardless of who suggested the initial push, of who lobbied for him, it all boils down to the fact that Sheamus loves the business, you can tell. And to not push him, makes it ineffective for other members of the business as well. I mean hell, don't even get me started on the wasted talent that is Daniel Bryan. THE 'E is going through a bad transitional phase right now and they need to realize this.

I'm sad to say that if Sheamus keeps going the way he is, whats to stop them from doing the same thing to other promising upstarts? (Like Daniel Bryan.)

Like I said earlier, it's a shameful thing, lobster head.

STATE OF THE 'E: A Spring/Summer To Be Leary Of

Posted By: Robert Woodward Jr.

We all know the goings on of THE 'E. They're currently in panic mode. One of their "go to" biggest stars just had to retire out of the blue when he was hoping to have a couple more years left in the tank. With them not having a great lineup on Smackdown!, they shifted into "Draft" mode. We can all see it coming. I know people are pointing Cena to Smackdown!. Seriously? No. He's THE 'E's top guy. No Smackdown! for him. Now, Randy Orton on the other hand. Yes. He's not currently in a title hunt of any kind and after "Extreme Rules", there wouldn't really be any reason for him to be on RAW anymore. He's going to go against Punk in a "Last Man Standing" match. Clearly Punk will come out on top and wave "bye, bye" to Orton at the end. How do I know this? Well, I don't. But, it seems 100% logical. They need a top face to represent their B show. (Face it, he's face.)

We all know the Intercontinental and United States Championships have been put on a slow burner. So slow that the burn is almost out. Someone needs to get a match and re-light the pilot QUICK! These Championships were a thing of prominence. But since they threw it on Bryan as if to say "Here IWC, shut the fuck up!", they've pushed it aside. Sheamus, who had such a HUGE debut year has been shuffled to a high mid-card level. And Barrett, a man who has limitless talent, who has been screwed over a few times (Nexus not going anywhere, Punk kicking him out, forming Corre, Corre not going anywhere.), it's like they don't have a vehicle for the man. Hello, give him Regal as a Manager. Let Barrett be his old self. And hot damn we have a great start. Put him against Alberto Del Rio in a feud and watch the magic happen.

Christian will NOT get the Championship. You know why? For the last 12 years Vince has thought of him to be nothing. He doesn't understand the appeal of "Captain Charisma" much as he doesn't understand the appeal of WWWYKI. VKM is so smart, he's fucking stupid. He's the Rain Man of Sports Entertainment. He doesn't give the fans what they want until their star has fizzled out. We know you're appealing to kids to try and hook 'em like you're Big Tobacco or something but, come on. OLDER people still watch your product. I'm not asking for blood and swearing. I'm asking for VKM to pull his head out of the proverbial ass of infinite time loop to finally understand that he's in 2011. The Internet DOES exist. People DO find ways to watch their show. 2+2 still = 4, right? If so, I think I may be on to something here.

The Miz isn't exactly having a memorable title run, is he? I mean, media attention is great. Having the IWC behind you is great. Having VKM behind you is great. But, what about the matches? He's defended against Lawler, Cena and Morrison. Oooohhh. What good is length if you have no flow. That's like having a 12 inch cock with great girth but having NO IDEA what to do with it. The man has charisma, he has solid in ring capabilities. DO SOMETHING WITH HIM! I thought this whole "Upside down logo/rebelious guy" thing was gonna take off into well, an AAWEEEESSSOOOOMMMEEE direction. but, it's fizzled just as much as anything else THE 'E has attempted the last couple years. Storylines that are incoherent and fail to deliver in the end. It's pathetic.

Speaking of pathetic... how about those writers eh? Those bastards could write my sub order let alone write a full episode of RAW. Purely speculating here but, I believe my 6 year old son could come up with a better storyline for most of these guys. These educated, well rounded individuals that VKM has hired mean NOTHING! I'm nowhere near asking for the "car crash" writing style of Vince "My life is a scam" Russo. I'm saying, if you're gonna hire Soap Opera writers, make them do their damn job right. Same goes for the previous Conan, SNL, Simpsons writers as well that they hired. But, do you see a trend here? Aside from the one Soap Opera guy you've hired recently, you have former COMEDY writers doing all the work. Where the hell is an editor to say "no". It's not that hard of a work to learn VKM. Just two letters.

Sin Cara. I'm seeing a lot of hate for the dude. A lot. How about this, you try wrestling his style. Being a Lucha in THE 'E in this day and age is unheard of. The guys going in the company now have never worked with a true Lucha. They worked with Rey. But, he hasn't been a true Lucha since leaving WCW. And even then he wasn't a Lucha towards the end. He was unmasked and all. But it's cool. THE 'E has erased all of that for us. Give the new guy some time to blossom is all I'm saying. Don't bash him because others aren't good with him. Primo's foot slipped which caused Sin to fall. A-Ri and Miz weren't in the right spots when Sin tried to do his move with them and A-Ri DAMN sure wasn't in his spot when Sin ended the match. If these dirt sheets are telling the truth about "the guys in the back rolling their eyes" at Sin, we'll see it soon enough. But, considering the monster push and everything in between, expect him to be a player for a while.

Tag-Team Championship. ='(

Do we need another Championship? No. There's enough of them already in THE 'E. I don't want to see another prop out there making an ass of itself. Championships are meant to be honored. HONORED. Hence, ROH. They respect their Champions and Championships.

What do we make of SummerSlam right now? I mean, there's literally no way to predict who's gonna be where and when. I like that but, granted... it's like everything is thrown together haphazardly. Two weeks before a PPV, and we don't even have a full card. In the past, we'd have damn near the whole card filled by now. And with an entertaining story to go along with it. I'm tired of thrown together meals. If I wanna eat a steak dinner, I don't want to make it in a microwave in a pre-packaged meal from Swanson. I wanna make my stuff on a grill, and flame broil that shit. I want it done right. I want sauteed onions and all the trimmings. Give me real food, not over processed crap that feels like food. This isn't The Matrix. That steak better make itself real. Fast. Because if not, people will start waking up, and The Matrix will fall.

With that, I think I'm done. I'll be back next week with another "State Of THE 'E" piece if you guys like it.

WHAT HAPPENED AFTER RAW? --- July 11th, 2011

Posted By: Robert Woodward Jr.

After Monday's episode of WWE RAW from Boston went off the air, John Cena defeated CM Punk in dark match.

Reader Brent L sent in the following live report of what happened:

"The match lasted about ten minutes. Punk grabbed the mic and wanted to thank Derek Jeter for his 3000 hits along with thanking himself. Punk then shoved Cena's father at ringside which led to a punch from his father as well as an AA from Cena. Overall great Raw and Punk live is amazing."
